During, one press of the clip-on reaches a multi-tiered response network: your protectors, emergency services and nearby Sakhi users, with no phone in hand. After, your phone has silently recorded audio and video, saved to your gallery and your secure Sakhi cloud as evidence.
No — and that is by design. Sakhi is one system. The device is your discreet trigger; the app carries the intelligence and reaches your people. The device pairs with your phone over Bluetooth, so keep your phone with you. It stays connected up to 50 metres indoors and up to 100 metres in the open, but the closer your phone is, the better.
Android 12 or later. iPhone coming soon. The app requires location permission to provide safety intelligence and SOS location sharing — you stay in control of permissions at all times.
Every SOS reaches your Protectors, sounds the siren, and sends your live location on both. One thing iPhone users should know: keep the Sakhi app in your recent apps. If you swipe it away, your SOS alerts still go out, but audio and video recording pause until the app is reopened.
The app subscription continues at ₹149 per month or ₹999 per year, inclusive of GST, billed through your app store. Your device keeps working with an active subscription.
12 to 13 months on a single coin cell under normal use, with low-battery alerts in the app well before it runs out. When it runs out, replace the coin cell yourself. No charging, ever.
